Confessions - 7.6.17 -

It's been a while since I've participated in Confessional Thursday. Don't worry, that doesn't mean I don't have anything to rant about!

I confess

... that I like time off, but HATE when a holiday falls in the middle of the week. It screws up my days (like I told my coworkers to have a good weekend on Monday when I left), messes my child up, AND we can't stay up to watch fireworks because it's a school night. #oldladystatus

... that I have become OBSESSED with Homeland. Maybe it's because I can relate to Carrie? #Igotyourcrazy

... that I cannot get behind the Halo Top ice cream. I've tried a couple of flavors and do not see what the big deal is. In fact, I kind of think it's nasty. #nothanks

... that summer is horrible because I always have to shave. #aintnobodygottimeforthat

... that when I am sore from a workout, I swear that my body is rock hard. If I can barely move how can anything possibly jiggle? #sweatisyourfatcrying

... that it took me FOREVER to decide on a new backpack for E. #potterybarnkidshype

... that we are really, REALLY wanting to list our house for sale, but I dread getting the house ready to sell. #andwehavenowheretogo

... that I am still highly annoyed that our neighborhood vetoed a pool a few years ago. #swimminginsweat

... that I wish I could cut off Homeland and read. #butthenIwouldfallasleep

... that some of us may be planning a reunion weekend and I will be so jazzed if it happens. #tfj

... that I would love to take some type of photography class and buy a nice camera, but am afraid I would never use it. #iPhonephotography

... that I would love to get another round of Whole30 in before football season starts. I'm meal planning for my daughter now so I may as well. Anyone want to do it with me? #powerinnumbers

Confessions - 4.27.17 -

Who is ready for the weekend?!

These last few weeks have been tumultuous - so much so that I started keeping a "confessions" note in my phone.

I confess

... that when I fly somewhere I feel extremely skinny when the seatbelt buckles without me adjusting the belt from the person who sat there before. #itsthelittlethings

... that I had to give a presentation for our entire company at our annual meeting and was extremely nervous. About an hour after it was finished, I received an email from one of my coworkers (who I rarely get to chat with and barely know) saying what a good job I did. The two minutes he took to compose that email meant SO much to me. #goodpeoplestillexist

... that as someone who ADORES Starbucks, I could not care less about the Unicorn Frappuccino. It sounds disgusting and yet, what an awesome marketing ploy! The marketer inside me regrets not thinking of something similar. #butIaintfallingforit

... that no man should mess with a woman's parking spot. My husband was working on his car for a few days and took up the ENTIRE garage, eliminating my parking spot.  #peoplecouldattackmeifIparkoutside

... that I felt vindicated when someone tried to pull the follow/unfollow game with me on Insta and I unfollowed them. #yougetwhatyoudeserve

Confessions - 4.5.17 -

After a successful first Confessional Thursday last week and coming to an end of a horribly stressful week, I found myself ranting again.

You're welcome.

I confess

... that Monday morning didn't start very well for me. Before heading into work while sitting in my car, I closed my water bottle and threw it into my gym bag. A few minutes later I realized that I threw my actual SACRED coffee into my bag instead. Needless to say, I skipped the gym due to coffee infused clothes and cried over my wasted beverage. #coffeeismycrack

... that we had tornado warnings at work on Monday and I was thankful the power went out because my eyes were tearing up while we waited. The weather doesn't quite terrify me as much as the fact that E and J were not with me. #familyovereverything

... that my husband called me Monday evening (same day as the coffee incident) and asked if I forgot to feed the cats that morning. Apparently, E left the cans of food and spoon on the floor, but I forgot to actually feed them. #furrymomfail

... that when I filled out paperwork for E's upcoming procedure, it was also for the removal of her adenoids and I had NO idea they were included because it was not mentioned....at all. #surprise

... that my anxiety/stress has skyrocketed these last few weeks and I resumed my sleep aid before bed. It's been nothing short of amazing. #helloambienwalrus

... that I'm annoyed with anyone who complained about our city shutting down in anticipation of bad weather. #bettersafethansorry

... that I cannot wait for this week to come to a close. #byeFelicia

Confessions - 3.30.17 -

Do I dare participate in Confessional Thursday?!

You betcha.

I've loved reading some of these posts and if you know me, then you know that I love a good rant. In this case, confessing is just another way of ranting. Ha!

I confess

... that I hate shaving my legs. I obviously do it, but realized I missed a patch on the back of my leg when I could feel it blowing in the wind during our trip to the playground last weekend. #chewbacca

... that my husband's new to him, old in reality, Mustang is in the shop and it makes me happy. My house isn't shaking from the rumbling engine and I have more room in the garage. #sorrynotsorry

... that my neighborhood drives me crazy, but I love the majority of our neighbors. I have made many great friends here, but could do without the people who can't park in their garage. #finethemall

...that I HATE when people don't use the garage to park in. Maybe it's my Type A personality, but cars in the driveway/on the street clutter the look of the community. #myhusbandstruckdoesn'tfitinourgaragethough

... that sometimes I get really jealous/homesick that I don't live as close to my high school/college friends, family, and shopping opportunities as I would like. #peaceupAtowndown

... that I am on round five of Whole 30 and keep thinking about cookies. #cookiemonsternomnomnomnom

... that I may lose my mind over strep throat. It absolutely terrifies me that we are dealing with this continuously and it doesn't help when articles start popping up on Facebook where strep has turned into cancer, mental illness, and amputation. #stopstalkingmeFacebook

... that we met with the ENT for said strep and a tonsillectomy has been scheduled. #sendwineandxanax

... that work has truly frazzled my brain. At the end of the day I change into my gym clothes in the bathroom at my office. One morning I realized that I couldn't find my bra or my shirt from the day prior. Turns out I left it in the bathroom stall with my bra on top and out in the open for all to see. Thankfully, no one decided to turn it in to the (mostly male) managers in the office. #nofreeingthetatashere
